MUNJAVU
MUNJAVU is SAMUHA's in-house micro credit resource group. For the present, this also acts as the MMS Federation's Secretariat.
MMS
MUNJAVU Mahila Sahakar. MUNJAVU = 'dawn'; Mahila = women; Sahakar = cooperation. The name of the women's Federation is also used as an expression of the women's collective strength and philosophy
SAMUHA
A development organization registered with the Registrar of Societies under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, and with the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Foreign Contributions Regulations Act

MMS Vision
To facilitate rural women to impact on their own, their family's and the larger society's perception of them; on household, community and watershed food security; and on governance

MMS Mission
To facilitate over 36,000 rural women to organize themselves into 3000 thrift SHG's, 30 cooperatives, and 1 Federation and, through these, develop the capacity to absorb credit of Rs 10,000 head to meet domestic, farm, and social and cultural needs in a phased manner from the 4th year onwards
