"OOTA AITA?" Challenges of livelihood Interventions in the Kanakanala Watershed.
A (not so serious) look at India Vs. Switzerland in 2003.
Preface : To Eat or not to Eat, "OOTA AITA?"
Introduction

Kanakanala Watershed Project
The watershed development project in Kanakanala started in phase I in collaboration with Karnataka's State Government (GoK). SAMUHA facilitates and supports the communities and their institutions in capacity building and ensuring people's cooperation. In the ongoing phase II (2000 - 2005) the GoK is not involved anymore. Focused livelihood interventions were brought in, the watershed development activities expanded into Micro Finances in an organised way. MUNJAVU, which evolved in phase I now became responsible to implement and oversee the livelihood interventions.
