Samuha's Financial Inclusion covers 1595 women SHGs comprising of 16,719 members from 299 villages.
JanaraHana, the micro credit resource group of SAMUHA, works through 4 Mutually Aided Cooperative Societies (MACS) in Deodurg and Nagalapur in Raichur District; and Tawaragera and Hasgal in Koppal District. These 4 women's MACS' work as apex bodies that aggregate local Self Help Groups (SHGs). JanaraHana assists members of its thrift SHGs to access credit from its onlending portfolio with State Bank of India and the Indian Overseas Bank, as well as facilitating SHG Bank Linkages through the former.
Samuha Financial Services: Samuha has now initiated a second financial inclusion model wherein it facilitates SHG Bank Linkages as a SHG Banking Correspondent for Pragathi Krishna Bank (PKB). It has named this model as Samuha Financial Services.
Samuha has already facilitated 705 SHG Bank Linkages through 21 PGB branches in Raichur and Koppal districts with a disbursement of Rs 7.18 Crores.
Samuha's financial inclusion intervention has changed the quality of lives of its members.
